![]() I resent having to spend days trying to restore functionality that previously worked and I have better things to do with my time. I am still trying to get it working using a pair of VMs but so far can't get anywhere. This fails to work when upgraded, as seen above. I have an existing installation, configured to interconnect several machines in different combination using custom key pairs. ![]() There is no point having a package in the repo which cannot work because it deletes essential files on start-up, even if one finally gets it installed. Version 3.5 is now open source, so it should be possible to develop it or fork it as a free application in future, providing a reliable long-term solution. In short, this version 4 seems impossible to install and use. Restarting nxserver 4.0 to reread authorized_keys2 deletes the file authorized_keys2 if it exists, thus preventing it ever working. This time it took three re-installs to get past this error. After several deletions and re-installs you might get lucky. The new version is highly likely to complain the licence doesn't match the edition installed and refuse to start the server. The upgrade copies neither authorized_keys nor authorized_keys2 from the old usr/NX/home/nx/.ssh/ to /var/NX/nx/.ssh.
